My fine art photography explores the raw, unconventional, and overlooked through a distinctly analog approach. Working with medium-format and 35mm film cameras, I create images that embrace atmosphere, texture, imperfection, and the unpredictable nature of traditional photography. Every roll of film is processed by hand in my studio, allowing me to maintain a direct connection to the photographic process from exposure to finished image.
My work is exhibited in our 1,200-square-foot studio and gallery located in the Mainframe Studios building in downtown Des Moines. The space serves as both a working photography studio and a gallery featuring original fine art photographic prints. Visitors are welcome to explore the gallery during Mainframe's First Friday events, held on the first Friday of every month from 5–8 PM, or by appointment. These monthly events offer an opportunity to experience the work in person, explore the studios, and connect with the artists who make up Des Moines' creative community.
